Default GTV-6 good buy

Alfa GTV-6, good buy? im thining of getting one till the end of college when i have enough to nab me a 308 GTB. I also just saw today Jeremy used to have one and fer 7 or 8k I think its worth it, to servicing'll be expensive at least till alfa comes to the US.

So what do you guys think? Worth it? or are there any other interesting, quirky cars for cheap here in the states?

Is it the old Alfetta or the new GTV-6 were talking about here? Both are really nice cars though!

From what I hear it is an excellent car to DRIVE. To OWN it's another story. Those old Alfetta owners make it a hobby to correct what the factory did wrong and fix weaknesses and flaws on the car. You should expect a year or so of numerous breakdowns until you can iron all the kinks out of the car.

You need to make sacrifices to own a car like the GTV6. My 240Z used to stop working randomly for the first year I owned it. Now it is rock solid bullet proof!

Be careful what you wish for because I'd hate to see you sell the car after a frustrating breakdown.
