Car: 1988 Mini Cooper, 1998 MB E55 AMG Rep Power: 9 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm currently looking to dress up my Honda Jazz to make it look a bit better. My jazz is a 2004 model Jazz VTi, and I have some options in front of me at the moment. Please try to suggest kits I can purchase in Melbourne. Options: 1) To just fit the Honda OEM 2007 Jazz VTi-S Kit. http://www.honda.com.au/wps/wcm/conn...Showroom/Jazz/ 2) A full Ings kit: http://motorware.com.au/www/web2/index.asp (4th entry down) 3) Mugen Professional kit: http://www.mugen-power.com/past/fit2nd/index.html (Probably without the spoiler) And this is the kit I really want: http://www.mugen-power.com/topics/dy...108/index.html I'm already having a friend try to source me a DC5 front cut so we can swap in the K20A and other drivetrain components, but the K20 will remain pretty much stock as I want it to be a cool street car, not a hardcore racer yet. The headache I think will be trying to get the little things like aircon and radio to work in the interior. If the K20 option turns out to be uber-expensive, then a blitz or HKS forced induction kits may well be the way to go. My friend and I are not too sure who would be able to import the Mugen kits into Melbourne and have them fitted to a high standard (I'm a perfectionist). For those of you who followed my other thread about getting a new car, I've put that plan on halt till I drive the new evo X and STi. |

| Evo-less | The Mugen one looks good, in a 2F2F sort of way.

| The yellow Mugen kit looks great, but those wheels are so small that you run the risk of driving a cute little gerbil. The red one looks clean but rather ridiculous: who's going to believe that you're really gonna fill out those fender flares? The wheels are what make that kit, frankly, and it should only belong on Fits that have a 2JZ or something (or a Chevy small block!) mounted behind the front seats, Clio RS style. But hey, it's my opinion. | |

I didn't even bother waiting for a couple of those to load. It's just like whatever. Don't care that much. I think the Fit is a very good looking subcompact, actually, it's probably the only subcompact that isn't completely hideous. Those bodykits look pretty good, from what I saw. The third one was nice, as was the other Mugen. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

| I still don't get the purpose of a body kit....I fear I have to agree with Spectre this time ![]() It doesn't give the car any performance upgrade at all, actually most body kits ruin the air drag coefficient giving the car a higher fuel consumption and less top speed. Way to go..... ![]() | |

Car: Too many Rep Power: 30 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i'll say right now i can see far more sense in modifying a Jazz then i can a Civic. The Jazz atleast has true atributes in that its lightweight, safe, and spacious. The civic is currently only safe, its lost its weight advantage and the aura surrounding the car is one of boy racer/rice burner idiocy that simply cannot be topped. Sure hot-rodding a civic might have some merits, but you'll look like such a clown that you might as well mod a Jazz in order to actually save some of your dignity. |

Car: Aston Martin DB9 (In GT4!) Rep Power: 17 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If you really want to "dress it up" why not get a new set of rims, otherwise spend it on performance mods or getting a better car.

| Yellow Mugen one ftw. I don't think the wheels are to much of a problem, being too small. If it worries you too much, then get some new rims. Simple.

Car: Too many Rep Power: 30 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | About the rims, forget what all these low-lifes say about wim diameter and look into width. If need be get some 13x8 inch Panasport Replicas, mount some serious but usable tires like Yokohama AO32s, and show these assholes what performance can really be. For such a otherwise mature forum, people here are just as stupid as those on streetfire when it comes to power vs. control argument. If the man likes his Jazz then let it be, its a fine car with its own set of attributes. Quote:
he already has a E55 AMG and hes making this decision under his own will, for peat sakes i'm sure there is some logic to his thinking. | |

Car: 1988 Mini Cooper, 1998 MB E55 AMG Rep Power: 9 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I was actually going to do a K20A sleeper, but then a friend suggested a bodykit and so I've been doing some research into them. But in the end, the idea of a sleeper jazz/fit seems to appeal a bit more, so maybe I should dump some money into light tuning the K20A once its transplanted. I was originally going to leave the K20 standard since its still a ROAD CAR, not a stripped track day racer. |

Car: Too many Rep Power: 30 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | you may still want to fiddle with the suspension a lilttle, nothing too crazy, but probably stiffer front/rear motor mounts and atleast some decent shocks (ideally adjustable) |
