| ^ will bore you to death | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() For those that have no idea what they are looking at... It's a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 with a fucking 850hp ROCKETdriving the rear axle. This on top of the Supercharged 425+hp(rated that high sans supercharger) engine under the hood. The Rocket axle could be bought from a catalog and fitted to any car, the company guaranteed double your horse power. Quote:

| I think you're right about H&S not being consulted on this one. If they had been the rocket nozzle would have to be no less than 31.85 inches from the rear bumper, 28.45 inches from any fuel source, 14.25 inches from any electrical wiring, and 9.62 inches from any suspension components. The total sound output of the vehicle would have to be less than 122db at normal operating speeds between 60 and 63mph. And the bumper would have to be lowered to prevent any tree frogs getting sucked into the engine and polluting the air.

| Basically this is the coolest car in the history of the world, bar none. Period. It makes the Delorean (the previous coolest car ever) look like a friggin' pedal bike festooned with Lisa Frank stickers. P.S. You can blame Turbonique for this insanity, as documented here. Sometimes the shit wouldn't work and the bolt-on jet engines would explode, killing everybody and maiming lots of innocent drag-racing enthusiasts. But hey, all the name of batshit insanity, right? And I to such dizzying heights of outrageousness in the name of such a motorized high. | |
