If you had a properly fast car for a day.....

..what would you do with it?

Have just joined the forum to see what you think- through work we have the opportunity to get our hands on a couple of new sports cars and a day or so to film something cool with them- we've got a few ideas but would love to know what proper petrol-heads would do in our position... Top Gear stunts that you wish they'd make or more random non-illegal fun.

Unfortunately we're not allowed to break the cars in any way....

Can we top the loop-the-loop on 5th Gear?

Any ideas, anyone?

Claim someone stole them, but actually sell them to a chop shop and make a few grand.

Real answer: Take it to a track day.

Nice short term gain on flogging the car- although long term job loss is a bit more of a images/smilies/sad.gif

Track day sounds fun- just conscious that you might not enjoy watching me having fun on a track day, unless you can suggest something I could do that would be awesome (and if you;ve seen me driving then expecting something awesome is not advised)

D'you reckon a 911 in reverse could beat another car in a 1 lap race?

Heh- like how many hot chicks could I fit in a 2-seater- a lot of flesh pressed up against the camera- again, not sure you'd want to watch me having all the fun....

I would take it across country, or as far as I can, then take a plane back and call the dude and tell him where it is. images/smilies/smile.gif

EDIT: OR, if I was feeling particularly mortal and, er, squishy, then I would park it outside his house (but not so he'd see from his front room or whatever) then call him and say it's in Colorado or something.

If I had a fast car, I'd promptly make it onto the road fatality list and the daily news since I'd be too tempted to floor it all the time.

...oh, nvm, I just remembered where I live. I guess I could drive in a straight line all day until I run out of gas and have to ask a pig farmer if he can spare any gas and it turns out that he's actually a serial killer and then I have to steal his car while fumbling like a buffoon and drive off while breathing heavily and then the car goes flying through the air after hitting a skunk and then I knock on the the door of some farm house but nobody's home and the door swings open so I wander inside and then suddenly the pig farmer sneaks up on me and he has like a big cattle prod or something and he tries to hit me with it but misses and then I escape that and find an axe in a wood pile near a shed and then while breathing heavily again I wait for the pig farmer to come around the corner and then I swing the axe and wound him but somehow he's still coming so I drop the axe and run away and then some passing motorists stop and I explain my situation very hurriedly to them and then they're like "come with us" and I get in, but one of the passengers is actually the pig farmer and I'm all like "oh no!" but then I kick him out of the vehicle and then some dramatic music plays and the car drives off into the sunset.
