if its a manual and the bodies in good shape and the chassis is in good shape and the engines in good shape and the interior is in good shape then get the damned thing! how could you go wrong with buying any car for $350 ? if anything you just stripe it down put in a roll cage and an LS2 and call it a day

I just found out that it is a '91 model with an automatic. I'm going to pass and spend the $350 on the Daytona instead.
*edit* However, I am still not opposed to buying an older Volvo as long as it is a manual and isn't in too bad of shape.

Old Volvo's are cheap to fix. And head over to www.turbobricks.com for info on the RWD ovlov's.
5 Spd swaps are cake.

If you do get a Volvo, ipd is your friend. Don't know how they are about Subarus, but they do parts for them as well. As for fuel economy, I have the GL version (not fast, not turbo) and it gets about 24 city; 28+ highway. And, if you happen to have a 20" CRT monitor in the trunk that you forgot to take out, it'll do a 1/4" mile in about 17 seconds (fast enough to keep up with a 1989 BMW 7 series). Of course, that's bone stock, but there's a lot you can do with it.
