the R8 is an all around awesome car. just like the standard C6. that LS3 is still a potent engine tho. and is over all a very good car. what are the price differences ?

The R8 is at least double the price of the Vette.

I had an issue of Car and Driver from last year and they match up the R8 against a Z06 and the Viper. They basically had the R8 losing to both in every category, including handling which I just couldn't believe.

Bring the Z06 and then it's a different story. R8 will get poesklapped like there is no tomorrow by the Z06.

I have my money on the R8 for this one. Definately a big gap for price, but spec figures might show for a good match-up

I just can't decide they are both awesome in their own way. Is the comparison going to be performance only? Because if you compare the cars on other points then the comparison is kind of like apples to oranges. They just have a completely different approach and market segments in mind.
