Pretty retarded if you ask me. They know where he lives and they could come back with a gun or whatnot.

Better to catch them in the act (video tape) or something and give it to the cops.

Although I like the idea, but when I caught up to him, I would have called the cops and let them deal with it... but I doubt if I was in the middle of that, I would have called the cops, I would have done the same as what he did, you've done so much work to get them there, why not have fun images/smilies/lol.gif

I think if this happened in the US, the theives would go free and the "defenders" would go straight to jail.

cops would do nothing, especially in that situation, they have to catch you in the act or nothing. I think in the forum someone also stated that if a civillian caught the culprit, he would be just asked questions and then let go because he was not caught by an officer. Besides in the heat of the moment, and having that shitty feeling of being breached in a property of yours thats dear to you, you could do anything. you gotta give the man props, he waited almost 2:30 hours in his car for the theives to come back. and if they didn't have weapons on them that night, I don't think they would come back for revenge, they're not that type probably, plus he got their plate number, and in the process of getting their address. The only thing I would've done more, is get their license, and put them in their trunk and lock it hehe and steel their rims and whatnot lol. so they would know how it feels.
Izari gonna love this, he's the last victim in this forum.

Agreed - having had a car stolen and written-off in the past I can understand the guy's feelings, but racing around the streets and then beating & robbing them isn't the way to deal with it.

Sounds like the guy was immature for racing down city streets, assault, and theft. I would have called the cops myself, especially since they got the plate number.

Good for him catching the thieves.

Bad for him bragging about how him and his friends beat the shit out of them in the middle of a school parking lot as well as taking their money, becoming almost as bad as the thieves themselves.

Though I understand his reaction, if somebody tried to steal my beloved 300ZX and I actually found them, I'd probably end up arrested myself. images/smilies/twisted.gif images/smilies/unsure.gif

Would I do this? No.
Am I glad someone did? Hell yes.

I have no problem with a person protecting his own property, and frankly, these guys were pro thieves and deserved every cracked rib and blackened eye. And yeah, I think he should have torched the car, or better yet, stolen it! What are they going to do "well officer, we were out jacking cars...." Just take it for a joy ride for the night then dump it in a canal or set it on fire, by the time they manage to report it stolen it's smoldering in an abandoned lot somewhere.

These thieves actually got off pretty light if you ask me, if I had made the decision to take matters into my own hands I would be sitting in my car with my 12 gauge tactical shotgun, not a 7 iron.

Tamil guy is going to get 100 other Tamils and it's over for the fellow in Markham, and Tamils that are into car jacking don't play nice.

I guess I'll have to add "car-jacking Tamils" to my list of things to look out for when I'm driving around town.
