it's actually not a motor the whole thing is digital they couldn't find an analog gauge that could keep up with the motor as such it's really not cheap at all.

also holy fucking shit want.......

Honestly I just prefer all analog stuff.

http://florida50.com/user/cimage/P1090382.JPG

But when it comes to stuff like this, I am a whore for old school. I like the whole aircraft cockpit look.

Very neat though, but I just wish each parameter had it's own gauge. I dont mind digital imitating analog. The actual tach itself was cool as hell.

Well it's Toyota... so I'd say the chances of it surviving a while are better than if it were... say... GM or some other brands.

But still, it's gonna be real frustrating in 25 years when the display goes apeshit.

Or maybe since it's all software, it'll be fairly easy to fix? New screen or new sensors or a new computer to interface it?

Very DO WANT.
I especially like how you sort of "slide" the tach aside, change some settings, then it slides back

Hang on, is there something wrong with the Prius?

Ah yeah, the rear tire is a bit flat. Otherwise things are just like they should.

Wait? Does that center dial physically move? Or is it 100% an LCD?

There's a border around the center gauge, but that's all that moves, it's just one big LCD with this frame moving round.

OK, thats what I thought.

Edit: oh wait, is it? Is there an LCD in the frame (like a 2nd layer) Or is the frame just a ring with nothing in it?

That is nearly orgasmic! Seriously freaking cool!

What is this video on anyway? Is it the actual car with some 'simulation mode'? I see slow digital speed change, looks like the typical sampling rate of a vehicle speed sensor getting read by the computer and put in digital format. I don't understand why they can't increase the sampling rate in digital speedo's. Why is that so hard to accomplish???

Errm, anyway... off topic. YEAH!!! I'm taking my pants off for that! Wait what?
