Default Look what I got from Ford in the mail today!

Thought this was amusing, a cool little care package from Ford I got in the mail today.

I'd buy a Mustang. Though it would be the new 400+ horse one.

The live axle isn't so bad. As long you drive it on smooth roads.

I quite like the look of them, but would never buy one in Australia because by the time you import one, get it converted etc. it cost over $100k.

You can get something better for much less here.

^Yeah, only worth it for $25-30k. For $100k, get yourself a nice 911 or something instead.

He's talking Australian dollars, $100k Australian is $75,814.26USD. Still far too much for a Mustang, as good as they are.

Pretty creative advertising!

On a side note, Ford announced it will cut production by 21%, probably to pay for those promo kits! images/smilies/lol.gif

But seriously, theyre cutting production by 21%.

There is no sound quite as sublime as the American V8. (yes, I know the different American V8's sound different, but...)

A pack of gum is better than what I got from Honda today. Apparently the dealer would really like to buy my car back so that they may add it to their certified used car inventory. They are offering me inaddition to whatever the car is worth, 4 whole thousand dollars worth of credit to buy a new car. First of all my credit rating is worth a hell of a lot more than 4 thousand bucks and secondly with my trade-in less the amount owed would be another 4 grand meaning I would have 8 grand to buy a new car which you can't do in the US unless your buying an Aveo.

They tried selling the Mustang here in about 2000. Whilst I think it was the higher models only, they imported them, and rebuilt them as RHD cars. They ended up being about $80,000AUD, and I think the $50,000 XR8 Falcon was just as fast, but I might be wrong there images/smilies/smile.gif

Most Mustangs I see around here are the 1960's models, many still LHD (because old enough to not need conversion).

Oh, and by the way, a 911 is nearly $200,000AUD, I think $100,000 might get a Boxster, if you're lucky images/smilies/smile.gif
