Default My new car on the way... Mini !

Since I was 2 year old, I want to have a Mini. When I was young, I wanted the original one. There was ont on my street, not common in Canada in 1980. When I grew up, my attraction for the Mini became stronger. Then, my driver's licence, the new Mini, a good job. Now, I choosed passion over reason... I ordered a 2010 Mini Cooper 50 Mayfair, Hot Chocolate paint with white roof and toffy hood stripes, toffy leather interior. 1,6 liter 4 cylinder with 6 speed manual gearbox. Delivery date : October 30th.

These are Euro specs pics. Canadian specs has silver polished wheels instead of white ones, automatic climate control and panoramic sunroof... and there is also 4 Pirelli winter tyres on 4 steel rims in the deal.

There isn't any color that personifies the BL classic better than brown.

The toffy really makes the brown easier to look at. You did a great job choosing quite an original Mini.

Congrats! Have fun with it. images/smilies/smile.gif

Nice colour. I like it.

The Mini with a 6spd is probably close to the most fun you can have with FWD in the North American Market.

There were 3 colour choices, brown, black and white. I will never have a black, silver or white car, I hate it. And for delivery in october, I had the choice between brown manual or black automatic.

I think brown is way more interesting than black would have been.

I dunno, I think brown is coming back. I find myself wanting it whenever I see it on a color chart, provided it's that really dark brown (like what's on this Mini).

Thanks.

The go kart feeling is incredible. The day I do the road test, it was raining. My dealer (Mini Mont-Royal) ask me to take some streets near the dealership, then, we arrived in a almost abandoned area (Near Blue Bonnets in Montréal). The street was a dead end with a roundabout style at the end. He asks me to take it at 30 km/h, then to accelerate until the pedal is on the floor. At the end, I was at 70 km/h. In my Honda Accord, I would have been able to do maybe 50...

I wouldn't have chosen brown myself, but those stripes make it look good.

Congrats. Hope you have a great time with it.

I wish more cars came in nice browns. The Buick Enclave has some nice browns. Some of them are sorta bronzey...I'd love a Fender Strat-type guitar in a nice rich brown...

Ever since some douche around here bought a brown Cayenne GTS I've been wondering why such a color existed on cars.

Looks nice on the Mini though images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

That is an excellent colour combination right there! Looks 10 times better than the standard red & white stripes Mini.
