My weekend of good ol' Audi fun!!
My wife and I attended Gathering of the Rings 2 in southwestern Pennsylvania this weekend. It is intended to be an all wheel drive Audi/ VW event, but really it is open to anyone who wants to show up.
It was hosted by a guy who's entire family loves Audi stuff. They happen to have rather large piece of property, so everyone comes in Friday night and camps until Sunday. It is a very laid back shindig, and there was a ridiculous amount of alcohol at dinner, but that is pretty typical of any Audi event I have been to. We went on about a 50 or 60 mile drive thru a GORGEOUS state park with top speeds somewhere in the triple digits for a brief moment. The Mom in the host family is or was a chef, and she cooked a KILLER dinner on Saturday night, I wanted to move in with them after that...  If anyone here is within a few hours of Pittsburgh, and drives the right kind of car, I would highly recommend coming out next year! Below is a link to my pics if you want to see them. Pardon my stupid antenna, and the jacked up light settings. I took a few of these shots by just sticking my camera out the sunroof while driving!
