Let me know what you guys think, this is my uncle who lives down in Greenwood, he's got the same truck and we're getting this exact system installed, let me know what you think!

The great thing about the 06-present 5.7L HEMI is the addition of the MDS (Multi-Displacement System) which deactivates 4 cylinders at cruising speed, the beauty of this is at cruising speed its nice and quiet, and you don't get annoyed after a while by cabin noise. But any time you slightly push your foot down, all 8 fire up, and you get a lovely American V8 growl.

Listen to that HEMI roar at 1:40!

Oh, god, those are AssMasters (aka FlowMasters), aren't they?

You can *hear* the infamous FlowMaster drone/resonance at 1:09 until the MDS kicks in and it starts to fade away around 1:11/1:12. You also hear it again at 2:00.

Some people think that sounds good. I find it gives me a headache, especially on highway trips.

-500 points for being dumb enough to want AssMasters. Go buy a Magnaflow system instead - those are a lot less restrictive and sound a lot better.

Well that's the whole reason why I made the post, to get some extra opinions, so if enough people agree then we'll either go MagnaFlow or get an Aeroturbine 3030.

I have no idea how it's supposed to sound but i found it pretty bland, nothing to suggest a V8 Hemi.. It sounded a little like when i had a hole in my exhaust..

It's about some kids hearing you can increase performance of an engine if you sifon in abrasive dust into the intake to sand down the inner workings of it a bit. So they shoved 20 pounds of gravel into their brand new RS4's engine.

actually that was either a Golf GTI or R32. i remember it being a VW. also, i don't think that's what he was talking about unless he's talking about how retarded this whole situation is comparing it to an equally retarded event such as the one you described.

For all the noise it makes it is actually moving very, very slow. How heavy are these trucks exactly? 4 tons?

<Insert derogatory Dodge comment here>

I find those exhausts annoying and pointless, I can't imagine what it must be like to be stuck in the cab with that going on every time you give it a little gas.

That's not the factory performance exhaust. I just checked - the YouTube page says it's a Flowmaster setup. Ugh.

There's a lot of idiots out there that like those AssMaster exhausts because they're "loud". Never mind the fact that most of them do not actually improve performance significantly. The only reason to change your exhaust out is to increase performance, IMHO, and Flowmasters aren't it.

No, it's under 2 tons, but its the Assmaster exhausts - see above.

If you want a real exhaust, see:http://www.magnaflow.com/04sound/04trucks.asp

It sounds nice, but it's not obnoxiously loud AND it increases power. Oh, and NO DRONE.

Presumably because Mopar Man keeps talking about the Aston Martin his father has, the GTR he's about to buy, the numbers-matching 1968 Charger R/T 426 Hemi sitting under the tarp in their garage behind the brand-new 1948 Vincent Black Lightning, the Fabergé egg he's using as a tarp tie-down for said Charger, the Amber Room that's in their basement, and the Elvis they kidnapped back in 1977 and that they've been keeping in said mythical room for the last 31 years.

You forgot his claims that his grandmother is Anastasia, and that his great-great-great grandfather was the Lost Dauphin of France.
