| Is there a way to position the photo? For my laptop, the image is at the lower right and part of it is cut off. I would like to center the image if possible. I liked the desktop directly to the image name. Is that the way to do it? | |

Rep Power: 13 ![]() | No, that's not the way to do it... Here, I'll try and give an explanation. This is how it works for me, using Windows XP. Right click on the desktop, click Properties. Click on the Desktop tab. Down the bottom, click Customize Desktop. Click on the Web tab. Click the New... button. Put in the URL of the webcam image, mine is http://www.nuerburgring.de/fileadmin/webcam/webcam.jpg Click OK, follow the prompts until it's set up properly... Now, to get it to update automatically: Still in the Web tab of the Desktop Items window, select the webcam image, and press Properties. Go to the Schedule tab, click Add, and OK. Select the Schedule you just added in the list, and click Edit. Go to the Schedule tab, and click advanced. Set it to repeat task at whatever interval you want, for a duration of 24 hours. And uncheck any boxes that might make it stop running, I can't say which ones will be checked because I can't remember what the default settings were. And click OK about 50 times, and you will be done. Hopefully. Hmm, hope that's useful for somebody. |
