Well, art is subjective.

I do like the cleanliness of the Chip Foose car. A good mix of monochrome and chrome.

It does nothing for me. The workmanship on Foose's 06 winner was awesome, but the car is nothing special IMO. The "V8" logo details he had done were a nice touch.

I'm just not a fan of show cars, especially any winner of the AMBR or Riddlers. They aren't cars meant that are driven. That and it's all about how much money you can spend on them.

As art, I do like Chip's minimalist approach. An the interior is fantastic. I'd actually love to see an Overhaulin' episode where they build this car.

As a car though, not really.

I sort of like it. But the problem for me, is the interior. The seats, to be specific. They look too modern, like they just went to a sub contracter, gotten a couple of seats, and put a sort of leather on it. It looks like modern seats, like you find in any modern car.

But appart from that, I sort of like it.

Well, there's another candidate for best engine bay and interior. I'm not sure if I like Foose's creations. They are a little TOO perfect. I like hot rods too be matt black with signs of use. It's like over produced modern rock. It shouldn't be perfect.

I would love to take that car around for a summer. The real problem is that the driver that will have that will be old, and only drive during parades, during the summer. Overhauling should do an episode where they take a Lebaron and remove the front end to be a American Graffiti style hot rod. The job of this car and alot of hot rods today is not speed off the line but style. It would be cool to see some tasteful remakes of cars that were ment for cruising.

those cars aren't bling, not in the true sense of the word.

and it's a huge misconception that an ambr winner and other show cars are trailer queens. for the most part, they cars are driven regularly, especially chip foose's creations. they're made to be drivable.

check out a few of foose's other creations

an old top gear feature on zz top's cars

check out stacey david's (former host of trucks!) projects. "copperhead" and "hair hauler" are my favorites. the site uses flash, so i can't post the photos here.

I think it is gorgeous, but anyone who knows me knows that I love Foose's designs. His minimalist approach to making machinery beautiful is exactly what I like.

I would let it have it's way with me all night long.

It looks like its done very cleanly and a sense for quality, but making something look old and putting masses of chrome onto it doesn't mean it looks good.

Impressive, yeah but ugly.
