With all these new LED running lights coming out on cars, I think it would be kind of cool to sort of 'resto-mod' my civic up to current times. I don't think it would look right the way audi does it on theres, so I did this chop to see what it would look like the way I wanted to do it. What do you guys think?
![]() In addition to LED's, I also wanted to convert my lights to HID's as I live in Texas where there is lots of unlit roads, with lots of wildlife. I would do it right with a proper projector-lense retro-fit, and most likely go with the pure white 4300k's. Another photoshop of what that might look like. ![]() *Awaits ricer accusations.

That's actually pretty good looking; just don't swap the corners for clears and I think you could get away with it.

Square with a title

I'd say try three on each side instead of two. Odd numbers are more appealing on the dinnerplate. Probably with cars too.

The chop looks cool - if you can get it like that then excellent. Agree on keeping the amber turn signal light covers too. Careful though do not go over the taste line and become basmati!

Agree with everyone above me. Keep the amber corners and don't overdo it.

Does it make your car go faster or handle better?
No? Then why spend money on something that will just make it look nice, rather than fast? The fastest Civic I knew of was a 1995 that was painted flat black with 15" steel wheels widened to 8" and hubcaps on them. He bought a flat black muffler that had a 2" outlet so not to attract attention, the turbo really tamped down the noise. |

Jay - my normal approach too but in this case it does add something without being crap. I like the sound of the 95 Civic, bet it flew!

It did/does fly; IIRC about 12 seconds in the quarter mile.
I must explain that I am a "all go, no show" kind of person. |

Flippin hell - that is a bit quick! I think that the HIDs should give better vision at night so it can be a sort of performance mod. ...

Very neat civic! I think it doesn't look too ricer compared to other civics I've seen around my place.

Dispenses buckshot medication for all undead patients.

The HIDs serve a purpose, but I think the LED running lights are just going to look like you are saving up for a spoiler and two performance rims.

Not to be a dick, but 14 seconds is slow. It's an economy car, there's no shame in admitting it's not a racecar.

Yeah, it's slow, especially when my 22 year old Honda does the quarter in 12.35@107.46 and 0-60 in 3.6... though almost everything non-exotic looks slow compared to a bike...

HID FTW! It looks so cool and like you said you live in Texas with lots of unlit road and with lots of wildlife, so it's very useful to have HIDs.
About those leds, don't get me started (just don't )

The HIDs look fine. Just make sure you do it right and aim them properly; there's nothing worse than an eyeful of HID when you don't particularly want it, and it staying around for 20 minutes because the guy behind you didn't aim and weight his beams properly.
