the big 3 german carmakers weren't there
jaguar and ford weren't there too
hearsay is bad blood between C&C and other people in the show.
btw, for the russ swift demonstration, all the cars save the STi had their rear differentials removed. ie, they became fwd ts and wrxes

And there's the Nissan Qashqai, Mazda CX-7 debut etc.
NO Land Rover, Jag, MB, Audi, BMW, Porsche, Renuault, Peugeot, Rolls Royce, Opel, Saab, Bentley, Volvo, VW. Not even Kia! And that motorshow was somehow pure stupidness. There at the show, it's not 1/10 of the 'feeling' at Geneva or Paris shows. To make things worse, there are lots of booths selling insurance, car care kits, wiper blades and all that! yuck. At least the Prodrive that made JC vomit was there!

^My girlfriend went to the Singapore motor show and in comparison to the Melbourne one, according to her, it is one big POS ... at least there are some cool concepts and stuff

^ what's a "POS"? But the BIG players are missing this time. I remember in 2004 I was staring at the Rolls Royce 101EX concept, while beside the RR booth was the Porsche with the C GT. And now, 2006, there's those Chinese car makers displaying their god-so-awful cars... There was also the MX-5 hardtop, Lamborghini LP640, and the LS640 debut. There's a RX400h, but no GS400h. And lastly, the greatly overdue singapore debut of the Skoda Octavia which was launched worldwide in 2004! Oh god, I pledge to go to another Geneva when I finally convince my dad again. I was 10 when I went to the geneva show, though I've forgotten much of the details...

Maybe, 'cause there's the LFA concept and stuff. But come to think of it, wiper blades, insurance, car shine kit booths filling up nearly half of the whole of the hall? maybe not that good... there were only 2 halls btw.
