Default spyker on brussels auto salon

or so it was supposed to be

so a salesman sells a spyker, then later he calls the client and asks if he can use his car to put on display during the brussels auto salon...
he didn't arrive...

and the car wasn't omium insured. so the salesmen will have to refund it personally

Ouch. What happened apart from the obvious? Could someone roughly translate/summarise?

Someone cut him off, one wheel hit the grass on the soft shoulder when he tried to avoid that car, and he spun it into the ditch, that's basically it.

Shame, such a nice car.

I hate the Spyker. Its design is just too weird for my liking. Can't argue with its performance or how gay it made JC look when he drove it images/smilies/lol.gif But I still hate it.

I wouldn't be too sure that the salesman will have to pay for the damage. Normally such stuff is dealt with through the company insurance. Even if that is not the case, his employer can still be liable in case this was part of his work. If he works on a free-lance basis he would be screwed though.

he was insured, but not omium

so if he hit someone else, the insurance company will cover the damage on the other car, but not the damage to the spyker....
but since he didn't hit anyone else...i don't believe much of his story images/smilies/lol.gif i think the just went to fast and crashed

apparently the company was thrilled when they heared about the crash, caus it's the first one that crashed backwards. now they're gonna completely take it appart, inspect how it dealt with the impact, and repair it

you can follow the complete repair process here (but on first sight, they haven't done that much yet)
