SSC Ultimate Aero

hmmm...i believe the car is called SSC ultimate aero. it is said to have 1046 bhp....and a top speed of 259.75. if im not mistaken, that is faster then the bugatti veyron? but the veyron is called the fastest...can anybody explain to me please?? maybe i got my facts wrong or something, maybe the ultimate aero is not a production car? and its also cheaper. well any answers will help get this question out of my mind.

That's BS. SSC has NOT done any test yet.

Veyron Concept reached 400 km/h last year, and it's the fastet production car right now.

I doubt SSC can even make 340 km/h. It's more like S7 TT. Steve Saleen said his new(the new S7) car is capable of reaching 400 km/h. But fastest it went was 330 km/h.

BTW, SSC is a very limited number, like 25 per year something and is being built in Washington state in US with $654,500 US price tag.

You need to believe less of what you read.

A lot of car companies just do the power/frontal surface area figure and say "Yeah, that's its top speed!"

Dodge say that silly Tomahawk bike car thing can do 3-400 mph. You think that's because it's done it?

Projected figures. The Veyron is here, now, done it and doing it. Until they match that Mr.Saleen or Mr.SSC or whoever else can go back to their garages and keep their mouths shut images/smilies/smile.gif

1: the fastes production car is still the Koenigsegg CCR
2: the veyron has never been testet by anyone other then VWs own people so what bugatti says is just as credable as SSC and saleen .. Koenigsegg was confirmd by several offisial agencies like guinness and FIA

I think AMS took the Veyron to 400 something kph, but that's not a reliable source.

Yeah, CCR is still the fastest car.

But anybody knows that Veyron has done faster, not official though.
