| VIP | ^ Ford actually filmed that commercial in my hometown (Chilliwack, BC, Canada) in a corn field about 2 minutes from my house. It was a pretty big event as our town has only about 60,000 people. I still don't like the commericial though. ![]() |

Car: Saab 900 and VW GTI MkV (saving, only $24K to go!) Rep Power: 0 ![]() | That wasn't the first time. Ford did a similar Bullitt car chase TV ad using McQueen to pitch the Euro-market Ford Puma. Really, a disrespect to McQueen.

| Your Guide to TG/FG | I hate it when they use dead people in commercials like that, as far as I'm concerned that should be illegal. |

Car: Dodge Viper (I wish!) Rep Power: 233 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It wasn't a CGI McQueen, it was really him from the movie. They just super-imposed him. And frankly, I think it was way cool.

There is no replacement for displacement. - Wolfgang Bernhard, Chief Operating Officer, Chrysler Group talking about the Dodge Viper SRT-10 ... I ask Herb Helbig, vehicle synthesis manager for SRT and a member of the original Team Viper development group since day one, if they'd ever thought of adding traction control. "It comes with two," he says, pointing at my feet. "Learn to use them." Got it. - Motor Trend on the 2006 Dodge Viper Coupe, November 2005 |
