I agree, far better than that silly SLR McMerc. It's lighter, just as quick, better looking, faster round the track. I know which one I'd prefer, and it's not the stupid Mercedes...

I loved it: looked and sounded incredible. And seemed to perfom quite well. I was happy to see it's rank on the board images/smilies/wink.gif

I'd take the SLR still, but the Ascari just had such an incredible exaust note... the SLR was previously my favorite with the Merlin-engine noise, but the Ascari was so mellow and melodic sounding that I was just: images/smilies/eek.gif

It's understated though, I reckon I could use the Ascari everyday, unlike most supercars. That makes it somewhat even more endearing.

Yea but at that rate, why not drive an M5?

The half the idea of a supercar is to make people look and point and notice you.

An M5 is fast, but it's no supercar. You could do the same thing and say, why not a Gallardo? This is better.

I think hammond overempahsized the lack of super car looks. Sure, it doesn't look like a zonda, but it looks fantastically good IMO.

Ok, so looks play a part but not a whole lot of it. FF has made a good comparasin, was about as fast as the McMerc SLR but hell, it looked so much better. The SLR is almost too lary (sp?). The Ascari had simple, yet beautiful smooth lines...

Oh and the engine sound. Yummy images/smilies/biggrin.gif images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

I loved it - the sound was amazing, and the lap time very impressive. I like the looks too. I was expecting it to be a disappointment, but turns out I was happily proven wrong.

Yes, I want one images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

Exterior isn't really setting it apart from some of the lesser known supercars who's names I always forget. It does the job but there's nothing special about it.
The interior on the other hand, very nice!

If I had the money I'd still get the Merc though.. that noise is just amazing and it's every bit as good as a daily driver I think.

Yeah, the exterior is pretty bland.

The car sounds good, but looks ridiculous. That front is hideous, what are those, Peugeot 206 headlights?

I'd go for the McMerc SLR, anyday. The SLR is more of a Super GT then a Supercar. I can't imagine driving the KZ1 over a longer distance.

Plus.. the name.. KZ1? It's like something out of a bad space-themed comic.

"Sir, the Gorgulan alien race from planet KZ1 is attacking, and they're threatening to use their mega-zorft-space-blaster on our space ships unless we surrender immediately!"

But if price were no option, you'd have to go for the SLR.
