Default The 2007 Barrett Jackson Auction

It is that time of year again and every chance i get i have been watching the spectacle that is the worlds largest NO RESERVE automobile auction. For those who don't know Barrett Jackson is the place to be if you want flawless originals, rotisserie restorations, shamelessly expensive exotics, and things beyond belief. There are lots of cars that go for crazy amounts of money and their are cars that are a real deal at the price they go for. Its a real fest for the eyes if you get the chance tune to SPEED or send your browser over to http://www.barrett-jackson.com

Favorite so far has been Lot Number: 1252.11970 PLYMOUTH HEMI 'CUDA RAMCHARGERS 'CANDYMATIC' sold at $330,000 a steal considering that it might be the last HEMI CUDA from the Race team left.

Just keep in mind that what cars go for at BJ tend to be 20-30 percent over real market value. All the hype around the auction and shill bidders, oh yes they are there too, force the prices up well above real market price.

I like watching it too. Seeing that Cobra go for $5 million was really neat.

They don't put all the cars on the show, plenty go for modest amounts. A 68 furry went for 5K, a 77 vette in immaculate condition for 9K, but for a real deal look at the Cord that went for around 119K thats cheep seeing that there was only 3000 of the brand made and an unknown amount that exist.
