...has been destroyed sadly. The owner was out doing som trackdriving for the upcoming Gatebil in Norway, lost control of the car and flew of the track. Driver/owner Stian Hafsengen and his mate are ok fortuantely. But the car will need a total rebuild and a new shell.

saw it this morning

looks like no "severe" damage though, mainly bodywork and suspension. doenst seem like the engine has been affected.

In this thread on annother forum you'll find lots of pics of the car after the chrash. Look in at the pics, the damages doesent seem that bad at all, It looks to me as if it's just a wheel that been bent off (The suspension being still intact) lots of chrushed plasticks and a lot of bodywork that has to be repaired. The engine, drivetrain and rollcage seems unharmed...

I can't be bothered to make a new thread, but Hafsengen is after about five and a half months of repairs back with the Escort WRC. This means more crazy 4wd drifting in the upcoming year on the Gatebil-events at Rudskogen. I'm really looking forward to this season, as the "Gatebil Extreme class" grows rapidly as well...

I'm really looking forward to this season, as it's an amazing show just watching it.

As for overrated, well 780hp in a wrc car with all sorts of clever stuff in it speaks you against. Also, see his run at Korketrekkeren last year. He might not be a professional rally driver, but that was the fastest and most brutal run ever performed at that annual event...

dont forget that the oter cars that do hillruns only have like 300-400hp ..
i have seen it run .. its lame.. there are othercars that are faster in a strait line..
others that are mutch faster in the bends but this car has been in alot of magazines so that means that this is the best one! (logic! you want one..)

There are other cars that are faster in a strait line, others that are mutch faster in the bends but this car has been in a lot of magazines so that means that this is the best one! (logic! you want one..)

It hasn't appeared in all those magazines for nothing... What's the point assing about when the Escort in this case was the best car and driver (Hence the victory) He had built the faster, better car witch he drove well and therefore he won the event, that is very logical (To me at least...) Then you come along and says that's lame, sounds rather unlogical to me...

And, yes I think it would look better in just the typical Ford-blue, as it did before without the silly decals...

He has also changed the inlet mainfold, on the old one it was carbon fiber, but now he has a magnesium one, like in Klypen's Sierra RS500 (Pictures; old vs new) The reason why this caught my eye is that it seems like the new magnesium inlet manifold didn't fit very well -> look at the bracing going from the suspension tower...
