I had a quick look through the local Triumph dealer, which is incidentally directly across from the gym a friend dragged me to. As you may've guessed from my sig, I really dig the new Bonneville, and this was the first time I saw it in the real steel. So beautiful... if only they weren't so damn expensive. Even the cheapest used ones still easily go for around 4500€
![]() So I guess when I switch to a "real" bike sometime in the future, I'll go for something like the Honda CB750, since decent looking low milage ones from the 90ies can apparently be had for something between 2 or 3 grand quite often. Which is a range even I could probably afford by then.

That guy got balls spreading them infront of that bike. Especially as the bike seemed to be on the traction limit the whole time. I wonder if they atleast gave him a cup.

Hey bike mates
,I have my licence since sep. last year and bought a 2001 CBR600 FS. Really love it. Unfortunatelly the season ended shortly after I passed and I was only driving like 1000 km with it (now got ~6000km on the clock). Nevertheless I am pretty comfortable with driving it, even fast (did 260+ on the autobahn for several km's) but I am a bit scared with corner speed. I think I could be much much faster around corners when I am out of them .Do you have any tipps on how to learn knee down cornering? Should I be trained by someone, or try it myself slowly? I mean, is it hard at all? Same with wheelies. Didn't try it yet and don't really think its worth it, but is it hard to learn? I like/respect my bike and don't want to hurt it, you know what I mean. I feel pain when I see those 'stunt-guys' doing all this burnout stuff etc with their bikes -wahh. Pooooor engine and tire... |

Man, I saw one of those when I was working at my go-kart track during bike week, where we close the track and just do parking. Cars in the lot, bikes lined up all around the track. This one dude pulls up with a Rocket III, it was my first time ever seeing one. I just remember looking at the motor and going "Woah! 2300cc?! That's more displacement than my van, and just about any car I've ever owned!" The owner was pretty cool, apparently he's usually into naked bikes like the Speed Triple, but decided to switch it up with a Rocket III.

I would expect such a huge bike to be slower when turning.

I've been wondering, does anyone know if the US Military uses bikes?
Germany's apparently already pushing some of the KTMs that have been purchased since '04 back into the civilian market...
