Here's what I want
-4 doors -AWD -Decent 0-60 -Leather, preferably heated and cooled -Sun roof -Good lumbar support -Sat nav So far the two cars I'm looking at are the MazdaSpeed 6 and the Subaru Legacy, but I dont know if I can get all those options on these cars. I will be specking them out soon. Can you guys recommend something in this range as alternative and comparison? Just want to be sure I haven't missed anything. I don't want a CUV (like a Infinity FX35) either. |

AUDI A4 2.0T Quattro good tuning potential, luxary, decent 0-60, a very comfortable car. about mid 30s decked out.
The Legacy GT is a good choice, so is the mazdaspeed 6, but you cant beat interior quality when it comes to audi, my 98 has a better interior than a 06 mazda 6. |

Personally, I would lean for the Mazda Speed 6. I was behind on on an on-ramp a few months ago, when the light went green the car just disappeared - no smoke or fishtailing back end or any of that drama; just one minute it was there and the next it was a red speck down the highway making for the fast lane.

I own a Legacy, it's quite a car. I think you can't go wrong with a Legacy GT, as long as you're not expecting BMW-level precision and body control. The Mazdaspeed 6 is a bit more powerful, but quite a bit less refined and not as good looking.

i like the Mazdaspeed 6 interior more so than the Legacy GT, the 6 is cheaper and more powerful. But speed-wise they are more less similar, the GT isnt that much more expensive and the Legacy's reliability has been established.

Audi A4 on gas (petrol) is a nice car, but a bit too showy. One of the guys I work with let me drive it this summer, I redlined it, threw it into curves at hair-raising speeds, treated the brakes like shit, and the car took it all without complaints. The thing is, I like cars with good value for money that people are not tempted to steal. MSP6 or Legacy have more of a Q-car value to them, which I like. I'm a low key person, I like my cars that way too. I went by BMW the other day actually. The stealership I went to was full of pricks, not interested in talking to anyone but repeat clients. |

, but some of your best bets would definately be the mazdaspeed6 or the legacy GT, which they just made some improvements on (SI drive, more ergonomic stuff, telescoping wheel i think? mayb some othrs) but id look at the audi 2.0T 1st, but thats just because i love audi's with a firey passion of lust

No offense meant really, but the Mazda here isn't made to be cool. It's for people who just want to go fast and don't care about image. The Mazda will drive better than any of those German tanks, even the RS4. Despite the RS4's colossal grunt, it's tuned like all Audis, to be very safe, sanitised and boring.

Mazda has that weird FWD most of the time and then AWD when it needs it. Also, i think it has heat-soak problems..however, I do love the interior!
If you get a Legacy GT (I have one and recommend it...wonder why) A major factor in the car's handleing is the car's stock RE92s....Personally, i recommend a Spec-B, front and rear sway bars, Cobb AP with a TDC tune, maybe new springs if you REALLY care (the struts are stiff, but yet they put some mushy springs on). And you can go Stage 2 and really improve the 0-60 and 1/4 mile time. 4.7 0-60ish... Basicly, Legacy has all you want except air-cooled seats and "good" lumbar support is only for you to define. Not to mention theres a great legacy community online! |

Unloved and lacking a title

As I was reading the description of what you wanted, I thought "You need a WRX"... But hell, a Legacy/Liberty GT is a wonderful car and looks awesome, I also think it's a bit more of a sleeper than the Mazda 6 MPS.

audi s4 with old stig did a pretty damn fast time for a 50grand car... and rs4 was pretty damn fast for an 80 grand car i doubt mazda can match either... if it can match the rx-8 and 350z times that'd be frigging unbelievable (imo) |
