Isn't this the exact same problem, a.k.a. oil getting onto exhausts manifolds, they had with the 4 cylinder Feiros 10 years prior to designing these cars?

Lets see, pontiac car names off the top of my head:
Firebird Sunfire Firefly Sunburst Sunbird Phoenix As was said in the other thread, its just a clever device to make you buy new cars. Pontiacs seem to be a bit more reliable then other GM cars, so they are forced to hide a napalm device attached to the odometer that goes off at 60,000 miles.
