Wether you agree with Fezza or not on how awfully generic the latest BMW 3-series is, I'm wondering what would be your presonal opinion on this.
Fezza has professed his love for the Ford Mondeo or Alfa Romeo Brera. Other than a super track-car (ala Exige, Sagaris, Atom) what ride would you get for about the same money, same segment or not. I'm tempted to say G35 coupé or an Acura TSX (EUDM Honda Accord). Maybe even a Nissan Murano. ![]() ![]()

The new Lexus IS:
http://forum.finalgear.com/viewtopic...=256356#256356 Its terrific value and a solid substitute for a German car. I don't know too much about the G35 so I wouldn't know and the Accord seems like a class below. An Alfa...you paying for the looks. A C-Class is old. I still think the 3-Series is the daddy, if you can get over the rear end looks. |

Yeah, the 3-series is still the boss. I mean c'mon...BMW has proved that they can make the cars look hideous, and people will still buy them because they are good cars LOL. And the 3-series isn't as bad as the 5 series (or even the 7 series).

Good point, SL65AMG~V12~612BHP!!!!!!!.
I had forgotten about the is. Seems to have just as much power as the G35 but a newer engine design. I dont really care about brand names or image status so it might be alright. (Know if it comes with an LSD?) G35 btw is an alongated version of the 350z chassis which makes a 2+2. Similar chassis, same engine and it makes that nice drone with the racy exhausts. more pics: http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=55016 A very good looking car each time i see one. There is a new one coming out in the near future: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() more pics: http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86518

I'm starting to fantasize that a G35 with an aftermarket supercharged would make a badass GT!

Danny Tran - Saw pic of concept interior in the Best Interiors thread....looks really cool to me!
Now what is the correct thing to say - the G35 is American or Japanese? |

hahaha... i read someone put twin turbos or a supercharger on the new 350z, and it didn't do squat for performance. And since the G35 uses the same engine....
Audi all the way. Exterior is about the same as BMW now, both ugly, but no one matches the interior of Audi. And that's where I do the driving and looking. AWD also comes into play where I live. The new RNS-E nav system seals the deal, 8GB of Mp3 with SD cards. On top of that, I want a German car that's BUILT in Germany. 3 series is not.

I really like the Lexus IS 350 more than that "lump of car"
it's $1000-2000 cheaper and looks a lot better G35 is good, but new one is coming soon C-class...waiting for the new one Alfa Romeo Brera , I'm in love with that (rumors of coming to the states in 2007 or 2008)...but I have to see if Alfa have improved their reliability issues. So out of all of these I think the lexus is the best choice: good looking, decent price, reliable |

And it doesn't really matter where the car is put together. I couldn't care less. For whatever reasons, manufacturers find it more efficiant and cheaper to build them in other countries to where they are designed and all the big manufacturers are doing it these days anyways. |

I'm going to go with the G35, pending my ability to actually fit in it.

E90's rear still kind of bother's me. The 5th Generation NAV in the new IS beats iDrive hands-down. Not to mention, the quality and attention to details in the interior of the IS wins hands down over BMW and Infiniti. Something Lexus continues to be very good at. But for good sports performance driving? Definitely the E90/3-Series. Prefer a bit more luxury over sportiness? The IS 350. I have the IS 250 AWD and it's so quiet that it's too quiet sometimes. I drop it down a few gears and want to hear the exhaust note only to be met with a RPM meter going red while I feel the acceleration... Only to be rewarded with the quiet muffled sound of the stock dual-exhaust from a Toyota DFI engine. Hrm. ![]() Cheers, Kermee |

Legacy is an awsome car.

If you are going with the S 60, might as well get the S 60 R

P.S.: And for gods sake stop calling the guy Fezza. Calling Jezza already is disgusting. Jeremy or Clarkson is not that hard to type. And I can't find any F's in his name. mod edit (SL65) : Please don't post large h-scroll breaking images. I have resized one image for you. You can do the rest if you want them displayed
