Default Why drag racing your Donk probably isn't a good idea.

Video from Jalopnik:

Donked

Ever wonder why you don't see them at the strip? Now you know.

Further proof such modifications serve no useful purpose in the automotive lifestyle.

A donk is an old Piece of Shit GM, with wheels so large they have to RAISE the car to fit them underneath.

I'm surprised anyone ever needed help understanding why these things couldn't be driven hard. Take a look at the way they raise the cars* and you'd see why it's amazing they can even do 20mph.

*I only bothered to look because of so many people posting articles about them on various forums and ridiculing them.

Bummer.

I've never in my life seen so many people laughing at a drag strip. It's usually just the guy holding the camera and his friends, not the entire audience.

Only thing needed to be added was "Don't let it get scratched, it's worth more than the car!"

Technically, the Regal in the video is not a "donk", it's a "box". I'm ashamed to know that...

Here are some more "old Piece of Shit GMs" at the track images/smilies/tongue.gif :

I saw the funniest donk today...an old cutlass supreme on 32" and hydraulics with a bright orange paintjob. they had bondo'd a 5XL white tee onto the hood (it was a rest in peace mac dre shirt) and then shot clear coat over it.

I couldn't stop laughing.

I like when they have to stop for red lights, they brake from like half a mile away because the car turns into a bounce-house under any sort of hard braking.
