I found this on another forum I frequent...and just loled at the naiivity. They certainly got 'em all fooledAlthough, from other shots at the Ring, this car might just be in the works.

27If you really think about it and include the man hours involved, which was 58, it probably cost them more to do this little project than it cost the other car mags to buy the pictures and publish them(since they also had to pay their photographer to take the pictures and they published their own story on it). From visiting other sites that have the pictures I gathered the guy who took the pictures wasn't even a professional photographer. So the question for me remains, who really was "had?"
btw: the noun form of naive is "naivety"
50I think you're missing the point.

27You think wrong. I just look at it from a different...or one may say more practical angle.
Any another other car mag, or high school pranksters for that matter, could have done this.
Go to their website, you can get the mag online for free. This month they have a four page article about a 2010 Ferrari 420 Dino, when just a few days ago during a Ferrari press conference at the LA auto show, General Manager Amedeo Felisa flat out denied that they are going to build a "cheap" Ferrari. For instance, the interior photo of their "Dino" is the press shot of a 599 GTB with a photoshopped nav screen added the center stack, and the exterior images of their "Dino" is a Porsche cayman with a 599 GTB front end, with the frontal picture being photoshopped 599 GTB.
All they did with ZO6 stunt is basically prove that anyone can be conned, and if you didn't know that before...well...I've got some great ocean front property in Arizona for sale.
669Case in point: magazines are idiots and speculate like crazy.

133Man, thats definitely one of those "i wish i thought of that" ideas

38Yeah he's definitely missing the point.
You never had a good laugh in your life, did you?
669I posted there saying it was his own fault for not substantiating the claims and he deleted my comment.Noob.

133what was your original post?

The article is very funny.
It proves exactly what this post has to say about spy-photographers and magazines:

Use your thinking when reading articles. Sometimes they're total bullshit.![]()
0Viper007Bond:
Glad I finally found you. I never deleted your comments. You just posted your comments in two different blog posts.
Your original comment from my post Yesterday is here:

And then you came back and visited my post here from November 16th and that is where you claimed I deleted your comment:

I don't need to delete comments. I can take criticism. That's the point of having comments on a blog.

You can delete my comment on this post if you wish.

EDIT: And I did leave an e-mail address, didn't I? It was "corvetteblogger.com [at] viper007bond [dot] com" which is perfectly valid and should get to me if you e-mail it.![]()
