I don't recall ever seeing a police car more interesting than a Skoda Octavia Diesel. But there's a Really-long-wheelbase Merc W126 and a Porsche Cayenne parked regularly in the local police station (which is a couple of minutes from my house)..

Now, back on topic - the cops here in Macedonia roll in Chrysler Sebrings, custom made by Chrysler for the Macedonian police. Some of them are quite quick actually, with some decently tuned engines.

Around here the standard patrols are astra or focus estates, the highway undercover high speed patrols use alfas, the vans are usually VW, nothing weird that i've seen. I did see a Smart ForTwo ambulance, though.

I've actually seen quite a few of these, converted to police cars:
