Other Random Car Sightings [Photo Required]

^ Isn't that illegal over in Europe? My friend got a ticket once for parking the wrong way round on a back road.

It is here. Your car has to stay in direction of traffic even when parked up. So you have to turn around before you can park your car in an empty space on the other side of the street. Makes sense. If you are a swiss. :D

*Sorry, but I love Porsches, so even if it's a base 911, it still is worthy in these pages :p

More interesting stuff at the same carpark...

Had my fellow scout junior sit on my shoulders to take this picture. Apparently, the maid saw this and wasn't too happy about it, and probably dialled for the owner or the police, as seen in this pic. She then pointed at us, then at the car, then at the phone. That was the last straw, we ran for dear life!

It's weird how they put their car covers on in a public car park. You ever pulled one off? :p

Depends on the country. The Germans are anal about that sort of thing (but then again, what aren't they anal about). Us Dutchies just don't care in what direction you park, as long as you put enough money in the meter :p

ARRGHHH I SOOOOOOOO need to get a new phone, my camera isn't working anymore, and today I see a... COUNTACH!! OMFG!!! right here in this little town outside of munich I'm in right now... amazing.

Weird seeing a GTI and a Gallardo in the same area. That'd be me. Supercar for the summer, econobox for the winter.

Awesome Morgan parked downtown, while I was there the owner came out - took the roof of (it was raining as hell) - put on his leather hat and WWII-pilot googles, and drove off :D
Clearly the roof is just for preventing the seats to get wet when you don't sit in the car. ;)

I'm surprised he didn't have the tonneau cover on for that classic British look

 A problem though, there's no winter in Singapore. Equatorial summer 365 days a year! ;D

A Golf GTI and a Lambo Gallardo. Now that's a proper car combination.

Seen today in St.Gallen, Switzerland:

A 911. Ahem. Well, sort of. ;)

This one had real russian numberplates. That's a long way from home. No idea what car it was.

Subaru SVX, yes I know fairly common car, but this one had an adequate colour scheme, and when I was a young(er) lad the SVX was some sort of a dream car. From (now) an adult perspective it's a large and heavy barge with an aging "futuristic" appearance, but somehow teen memories are something you never really loose. Hence the photo reflex. :)

New 997 (?) in my home town. Garbage rims and everything. But damn it was wide!

Fairly common? The stuff i remember from the SVX is that they sold less than most Ferraris, and i wouldn't call them common.

Well they're pretty common over here... common as in, I see one about every 2 weeks or so. :p

Love the windows on the SVX by the way... so very sci-fi.

Bentley outside the Scripps Memorial Hospital in San Diego.

Funny thing is I saw a convertible Bentley continental GT in the parking lot for Physicians, and on the way back home I saw a red Bentley Continental flying spur headed to the hospital.

Do all doctors have a Bentley fetish or something? This car is slowly becoming like the BMW 3-series: common.

Also saw a Maserati Gran Turismo near the really wealthy area in La Jolla (forget the name), but its a couple blocks from where I live (dumpyard central).

Bentleys are a bit showy for doctors to drive to a hospital, though that might not be the case in California. Several doctors around where I live seem to drive cars ranging from 10 year old Honda Accords to S-classes. Especially in the less wealthy cities, you don't really want to be driving to a hospital in a $250K+ car while many people inside can barely afford the surgeries that they need. Even if you are extremely well paid, you can be modest.

On a separate note, the Arnage with the chrome grille surrounding looks excellent.
