My other sister is finally going to need a computer of her own. Since the only games she really plays is WoW, The Sims 2, and stuff like that (i.e. nothing high end like my other sister plays), we've decided a laptop would be best.
I've been playing around on Dell and it seems for $800-850 builds the base model plus some minor upgrades (like a dual core processor, 2 GB of RAM, etc.)
However I'm not sure about the video processor. It seems to be I can choose either a 14.1" widescreen and a nVidia 8400 integrated OR a 15.1" widescreen and a "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100". Anything better gets up into another price bracket.
Anyone know how this X3100 does in the real world? She's currently playing on a GeForce 4 and that's horrible. I'm looking for around performance of my old 6800 GT or maybe a 6600 GT (give or take). Basically something that won't play WoW at minimum settings and can play The Sims 2 well.
