The RS6 Tuning War: Now with 715hp

Its not that bad. Could've been worse.

Of course it could have been worse. But i could have been a lot better.

Why is that ? I can absolutely believe those figures. The tuning companies might have done something to the suspension, chassis or have been messing around with gear ratios in order to improve acceleration. Then you would also have to see torque figures for each car also.

It is a helluva big difference. I think it's mostly to do with retuning the ECU though, and having a huge lump of torque low down in the rev band.
that and maybe changing the suspension to have even more grip

+ every tuner exaggerates a few .1 of a second :p

I would like to see a Lambo do a sub 4 second blast on a set of dub deuces.

Thats why it's so slow.

that actually makes perfect sense

An estate car that does 0-62 in 3,6s.......excellent

And don't think that is the end of the scale, B&B managed to get 680hp out of the old RS6........

I'd actually be interested in the 100-200 time on this thing, or the 80-120 time.

I mean, just picture driving along behind some old bum at 80, dropping into 3rd, and then just flooring it..... awesome

True - the rolling acceleration would be epic, and a much more useful indicator of performance.

Kicherer looks good.... for me to puke on.

I don't think Impreza drivers are qualified to make comments about the looks of cars....

You don't really buy an Evo or Rex for looks though. (Well, aside from the Evo X, which looks fantastic)

Evo VI the best looking evo imo. Totally brutal!

In the latest edition of german car magazine SportAuto, there's a test of the MTM RS6 R with 702hp.

Despite the horribly hot weather conditions (resulting in less power) of about 35 degrees celsius, it achieved the following times (everything in kph):

0-40: 1,4s
0-60: 2,3s
0-80: 3,3s
0-100: 4,3s
0-120: 5,7s
0-140: 7,3s
0-160: 8,9s
0-180: 11,1s
0-200: 13,7s

Top speed: 310 kph

Hockenheim short track: 1.14,7min (stock RS6: 1.15,7min in optimum weather conditions)

Curb weight: 2128 kg

Acceleration, especially in Autobahn conditions was described as defying-the-laws-of-physics brutal.

No rolling accel figures :( and DAAAAMN that thing is slightly slower to 180 than mine is to 100

yeah, but you can interpolate/subtract in order to get ballpark figures (sure possibly not optimal, but pretty close)
