Jersey born racing driver, James Walker, kicked off the 2008 Jersey Battle of Flowers (an annual carnival featuring floats made of real flowers and dancers).
Here are a couple of my pics - not great as I wasn't expecting a bloody racing car at an even with floats going 5 miles per hour.
Oh and here is one of the floats just for comparison:
