You just walked out of your house to see a garbage truck parked on your car!

Fortunately there are no injuries but your car is a total loss. The insurance company cuts you a check for high blue-book value for your vehicle.

Post your car, and the high KBB value for retail sale for your make and model and post what you would buy with that check.

2004 Honda Civic Coupe - Value Package.

$13,305
First of all WHAT THE FUCK? I only paid $12,000 for this car when it was new four years ago! Well, I'll take it!

I'll take this beauty for $11,200

1999 Mercedes C43 AMG - 96,800 miles

1997 Ford Explorer with 150000 miles.

Take some money out-of pocket and get myself:
1989 Ford Mustang LX - $6000.
NOT stock - 351w with 5spd hurst shift kit, alumn heads, short tube headers, elbrock intake, holly 750 carb, magnaflow exhaust, msd ignation, rear end and leather seats out of a 98' cobra, cd, 5" tach.

Fun little Fox.

'91 Civic. Going for $1500. That would leave me with $4300. Suspension + brakes + tires + h2b. Hopefully I'd have enough left over to get onto a road coarse and show Corvettes whats what

Dude want to trade for a similar-mileage 1997 Ford Explorer XLT?
Lol

$16,105

Peggy only has 13k miles :p

The issue is I am emotionally attached to the car, so I have to buy it back and turn it into furniture.

If I didn't have to do that I'd get another bug, turbo sport version, which I'm pretty sure I can get up to at least 140 stock, alot more if I chip it....

I guess I'll take a go...
2006 Ford Ranger FX4 - $21,970

And I'd go for this for 18k
33e4_1.JPG

And drop an extra 3k into suspension or warming the motor over...

Or...

d352_12.JPG

for 5k and drop a whole bunch of money into it just because I can!
(Its a 1974 Mazda Rotary Engine Pickup)

Some of you are missing the point. You don't just say what you would like to get or what you want, you actually make those little fingers dance through the internet and find a car. If you want a Civic don't just post that you would buy one, actually find one that is in the price range.

Try Craigslist, Autotrader or your local listings and post the actual car. If all you find is a badly abbreviated text ad, post it. If you find a photo, post that too.

So, for all you that are wimping out, go find an actual car!

1993 Chevrolet Caprice Classic, 5.0 Liter V8, 175,000 miles - $2,255 (nearly twice what I payed)

What I'd buy:
1983 Datsun 200SX coupe, 2.2 Liter SOHC I4, 230,000 miles - $1,300

I don't know why, I just like the shape of the S110 coupe.
Remaining funds would then be used to make the car not suck.

I'm seriously screwed over.

1989 Ford Taurus L, 140k miles - $1,270

That's NOT a typo.

EDIT: Given up. Only cars I could find in the Nashville area were broken. :(

2003 NB turbo S w/FUNCTIONAL mods
$17K
:p
I think I can throw in the extra $900 for that

Well the actual car I own is too old for KBB so I'll just use the family car and assume it's mine and the replacement is for me alone.

Accord01.jpg

2006 Honda Accord SE (with the faux carbon fiber trim!) with 15000 miles or thereabouts and an autobox. Retail value $20k even.

So for 20 grand I'd get:

A Datsun 350Z for $15,500 and save the rest in a fund for service of the car

cd65_3.JPG

I'd try and haggle the guy down to $14,800 but that's already a hell of a deal. That car is worth much more. And the price has been bottoming out for those 350Zs on Ebay for a while, I don't think they will lose value in a hurry from here on. Plus white is a rare color (the market is saturated with silver ones), so it might be desirable later.

I've never driven a 350Z so I still don't know if I'd like it but the 350Z is the one I'd look at first.

I'd love to play this game! So I'm using our family's car, a BMW 320i. But the car isn't on KBB since US only sells 325i and above. SO I'm using local currency instead! :)

BMW 320i Professional, 34xxx km, Sept 2007 car. In rather mint condition. Worth SGD $115,000, but the car is only paid by $80,000 cash only.

So if I were to take the $80k and head on to the US, hence with US$55000 I'd buy this...

2006 BMW M5 SMG
840283_640.jpg

Well, Apparently I can get about $7000 US for my car.... a low mileage excellent condition Civic (Canadian Si, US EX)

For $3500 I could get this...
1181431gcZZZZZZZZZ89u6192afa368b31158.jpg

Or This for $3800
1g1134148ZZZZZZZZZ89qa5004d98c9981d07.jpg

or a '72 nova with a blower.... yah, lets go with that.

and yes, these are all off craigslist.org

I know its a boat, and is nothing like the stuff I've looked at before (mainly a 1995 Audi S6). But if a garbage truck parked it self on my car, I'd want something like that.
