2010 Mustang sans camo...finally!

Oh FFS, enough with the retro stuff! It's the 21st century! What happened to all the cool concepts from the 80s/90s? Why not try a digital dash again?

I hate the digital speedo in my brothers civic type-r

Will American manufacturers ever figure out how to make nice steering wheels?

The clubsport wheel (yeah this is the vauxhall version)

Not a bad wheel design, some people find them a tad large

Thank you, Captain Obvious.

What's the harm in posting official shots?

Just pointing it out in case Jetsetter didn't see them. If he thinks the dark shot of the steering looks awesome then he'd probably like to see the rest of the interior as well.

Because there are enough people like me who despise the things ;).

I love my Mustang's wheel, and the current Pontiac wheel is fantastic (used in my Mom's Torrent and sister's Monero).

When there's a problem its a bigger deal to fix. And you end up with little things like my Grandmothers' Lincoln where the dash lights up and says "WASHER FLUID 19 GALLONS"

With the image jetsetter posted shows a slightly more 'upscale' dash than the one taken of the mule...this looks like the Interior Upgrade Package is still going to be there...

Also not the steering wheels in the two cars, one is basic, and the other is a more optioned version...

I'm liking this a lot more with every new image... :)

Wow, that's a lot of washer fluid...

I don't find it hard to believe that an 80s era Lincoln superliner came equipped with a 19 gallon washer fluid reservoir. More weight less horsepower that was the Lincoln way!

I cannot begin to imagine the size of the gas tanks in those old Lincolns...

You know the funny part about her Lincoln? It averaged 21mpg around town. 4.6L V8 with plenty of pickup and it rides like its flying, quite a fun thing to run errands in. My grandfather bought a new Lincoln every two years, till he died in '96 and my grandmother decided she was fine with the one they had.

We're getting as tired of seeing bits and pieces of the upcoming 2010 Ford Mustang (new and old) as everybody else is, so when these candid spy shots of the refreshed pony car surfaced actually showing the grille ? close up and in detail, it was like a breath of fresh air. The new grille closely follows our rendering but does so with a bit more upper lip. You know, for that cro-magnon tough guy look. Take heart though, this seemingly unending campaign of secrecy and teasers ahead of the car's unveil at the LA Auto Show in November is nearly over. Thank god.

Spy shots of the 2010 Ford Mustang are an easy thing to come by lately, as Ford has seemingly taken to driving prototypes around Detroit just for fun. We've shown you the base V6 model wearing little camo, the GT500 and even the car's interior. Now we bring you shots of the '10 Mustang GT model that were recently snapped in the parking lot of a strip mall. The shots show of all the goods, including the new front end inspired by the Giuigiaro Mustang Concept that debuted in 2006 at the LA Auto Show.

The refreshed '10 Mustang GT has a much harder job on its hands than did the 2004 model that kicked off the modern Mustang era. That car enjoyed a rear-wheel-drive muscle car segment of just one ? itself ? for years. The new Mustang, however, will find the Dodge Challenger and brand new Chevy Camaro waiting for it next year.

If they want it to succeed, they'll need to price it competitively, or the new Camaro will steal more than a few sales from it.

Perhaps but the Mustang has always sold better and I expect that to continue. More people are just aware of the Mustang.

Especially since it never went away.

Exactly, and they see them all over the place. Around town I can hardly to 10 minutes without seeing a Mustang, 'Vettes(older ones anyway) are quite popular too. The Camaro will be almost like a newcomer to the entry level muscle car segment despite that it had been around before. Actually, now that I think about it there are about a billion third gen Camaros in my town as well. Anyway, I think the Camaro will make a big impact. I'm partly basing this on what I've seen with Scions, actually. They're nothing too special, and not much better or worse than the other cars in their segment, but they were something new, and looked a bit different, especially that hideous xB. Now they are fucking everywhere, it's like an infestation.

All that said, while I think this car looks quite good, I've pretty much had enough of this style 'Stang. I have not, however, had enough of the sound of V8's. I need quite a lot more of that.

The interior looks a lot better than the current one, though they need to at least offer a navigation system to make it look a little more upscale. The seats look pretty cool too.

All these teasers killed a lot of my interest in the refresh. Though I still want to know what the power train will be. I hope that the modular v8 will be retired for the Hurricane, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Navigation's been on the Mustang option list since 2007... ;)

Oh really? Wasn't aware of that, in that case the dash area could look pretty decent. I'm looking forward to scrutinizing it at the auto show.
