I have no idea if anybody but me is interested in this topic but I had the idea of collecting the coordinates of all the car factories in the world and post them here, so people can copy and paste them into Google Earth to look them up.

Condition is, that only those factories are listed, were complete cars are rolling from the assembly lines. Factories that only produce parts (e.g engines only) or structural components, are excluded.

It should also be listed, which cars are made in the listed factories. Hopefully we will eventually get an overview about the worldwide car production with the ability to look it up in Google Earth.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to do the work alone and that folks from other countries would do their part ;)

Koenigsegg

56?18'20.30"N, 12?51'29.71"E

^I wasn't sure what the actual production facility was, so i went by the address on the home page. But the place looks legit, since there's an unused Airbase and runways for test runs.

You'll find the factory down a bit and west a bit at:

56?17'23.84"N, 12?50'46.81"E

It's marked on Google Earth, and there's a photo of the factory on Panoramio:

You indeed get that location, when you enter the address from the Koenigsegg homepage. However, it looks like an ordinary farm to me. Normally there should be stuff lying around to indicatem that there is some kind of construction work going on inside. Therefore I doubt it's the right location. I was no able to find the right one yet, though... Maybe some local from Sweden can help?
