yup was a big fan of Shakin Stevens as i was growing up and had most of his albums, wow that takes me back.
since seeing his performance at the Superbowl Halftime show i've gone back to listening to a lot of Bruce Springsteen music, had forgotten how great a album 'the Rising' was. The Rising, Waiting on a Sunny Day and Counting on a Miracle are great songs.
First This Year's Model by Elvis Costello. In my Opinion his best album and well...it just kicks major ass. Also I think one of the best lyricists in modern music... Here's the first song off the album.
2nd is What's Going On by Marvin Gaye. I guess I feel the album as a whole is overlooked for the title track and possibly Mercy Mercy Me but the entire thing is just well, genius. Greatest Soul album of all time I think most critics would say... Here's my favourite song off the album.. A song that's still highly relevant today with the large number of soldiers overseas and the economic hardships that we're all having to endure now..
Here is one really awesome track, that is incredibly underrated.

It's from the much criticized Joe Lynn Turner era, but it's still one of my favourites! Just listen to Ritchie's solo in the middle section.
I'm very much into rock/alternative music and soundtracks: Beck, dEUS, The Clash, MGMT, U2, Lost in Translation OST, Marie Antoinette OST, Any way the wind blows OST, but my all time musical hero is Jeff Buckley. Are there other Jeff Buckley fans present here?
