Other Random Car Sightings [Photo Required]

Found some pics (not mine) of what appears to be a Porsche 914/6.

If this is a real 914/6 :woot:

It should be mostly if not totally stock, since it's registered as a "museum vehicle", indicated by the inverted colors in the license plate.

To make a minor correction, black plates don't indicate it's in the museum registry. It's only an old style plate. Registering vehicles as museum vehicles is only a tick in the papers. (I know this because the '69 Renault I drive wears black plates and is not in the museum registry.)

Here's some crap I just finally recovered from my crashed XP. Did I post these before? No idea. However, if I did, it was roughly a year ago so some newcomers may appreciate them.

Damn, I stand corrected. I thought that was a sure sign to tell if a car is museum registered, but apparently it's not.

Do you guys have a time machine allowing you to go back in time to spot brand new examples of cars? :-o

Yes. But going back to the future afterwards isn't always easy.

Plus some of the parts were only made by Lucas (the only manufacturer to ever make electricity and therefore time flow backwards), so it's pretty high maintenance. And we have to bring lots of spares.

A walk through the park today yielded these cars. I don't know, for some reason the local bros like to cruise through the park with their annoying as hell fart canned civics... there was a bunch of carbage in one parking lot that I decided to not go by, the kind of carbage with dudes playing rap really really loudly on their sound systems that are 99% subwoofer, 1% other speakers. Yeah, I didn't bother with the carbage, none of it was too severe but by god there's always tons of ricers cruising around the park. I don't know, maybe because it has the only roads within like 1000 miles with curves, whatever.

Too much text, needs pics.

I have a feeling it's a real Silvia. It's RHD and stuff.

and the one super duper rare sighting for this boring un-rich flat city (excuse the crappiness, it was taken out the back of a moving car on a far from smooth road). Right after this he turned off onto a side road and tore off. Very nice.

I should a) stop trying to take pictures while walking, and b) turn up the iso when it's not the middle of the day.

Wing-less Evo? Hmm... I have mixed feelings about that.

And you need to learn how to pan. :p

I swear I was just taking a picture of those trees and then this wingless evo just got in my shot! And it was behind a tree for a couple seconds before I could take the shot.

/excuses excuses excuses

And I suck at action shots :(

edit: also I didn't pay attention when I actually saw it, but it looks like the plate says "evil ten" :lmao:

It is the damn Koenig 930. Dunno how rare those actually are, but must be one damn rare car around here.

And congrats to esbenalb for identifying the car based on the crappy first photo

^You have to talk to that person and ask wherether its a real Koenig, and if it is, YOU HAVE to take more pictures. It's your duty to finalgear, I'm afraid.

Saw a new mustang gt that someone has already managed to ruin in the short time its been out. They put 20" or 21" chrome rims on it (the ghetto ones). And I saw a Murci Roadster on the freeway. First time I've seen one since I moved to Modesto 2 years ago.

Seen today: 1. generation Alfa Romeo Spider:

Greetings, lip

Spotted a black mid-90's Alfa Spider (in a sorority house parking lot at redneck college) with the 3.0 V6 (and a manual!!!)with black on black interior and leather! Why does my phone not have a camera!!!
GAAAAAHHHHH

No one else understood my insanity. I might go back just for a picture :p

Wait.. what? The Koenig has the entire rear light assembly from an Audi?
