Seen today: Audi R8

And a few days ago, the mother of all daily drivers.

How do know that Camaro is a daily driver ?

It was at a gas station, and the owner came out to put something in his car while I was filling up. I asked him how much power it put down, and he said around 300 since it was tuned down a bit so that he could drive it everyday. As thevictor390 put it, those are some expensive tires to use everyday

Is anyone else sad that companies like Volvo (Amazon) and Jaguar (E-type) used to make amazing sports cars and now that's all long forgotten about in their lineup of barge-like driving appliances? Can you fathom either making a true sports car today?

Also it's hard to see but it looks like there's a Ferrari badge on the 780, that and the rims are points off.

I used to like the 780 a lot, I think it was designed by Bertone. Of course there are better designs out there now but I have to say that coupe is still a classic today.

That's a Volvo "Prancing Moose" badge, for Volvo owners who have some humour :p

One day, I wanna drop the 240hp turbo I5 from the 850R into the 780. Make myself an awesome RWD Volvo 785R.

Is there a RWD tranny which will fit it? And why use the 240hp version when you can use the current 300hp 2.5?

Volvo has never made a sports car.

It has made pretty cars (p1800, Amazon, 544, etc.) But they never handled or drove properly without a lot of modifications.

Volvo has also made pseudo-sports saloons/estates, but they aren't really full on sports cars, just standard models with turbo's stuck on.:)

Just got back from a cruise around town (and on the interstate where my GPS said 80 and people were passing me :?) and saw a number of interesting things.

First, the people with their pre 1920's cars were out driving, there were at least 4 of them, I caught this 1911 Town Car first, then there were three others which I only got really bad blurry pictures of.

Otherwise, in front of a church where someone had just gotten married was a beautiful vintage Mercedes, either a 710 SSK or an SS Roadster or similar in all white. I didn't have my camera ready for that, but it was stunning. Not the car exactly, but similar.
