I haven't seen TG yet, and for once, don't care. The Isle Of Man is epic, but this is beyond epic.

Muse's new single, Uprising just made this thread a whole lot more awesome.

I totally agree. I can not stop listening to that. United States of Eurasia tempered my excitement for the new album somewhat. Uprising has got me counting the days again.

Hey guys, I'm in Beijing right now. The place is crazy, but that storys for another day. Youtube's blocked over here, but one of the first things I did as soon as I got hold of some wifi was check out the new Muse single through a stream I found on some site somewhere.

The other thing is, I've just finished reading through Nineteen Eighty-Four. Along the way, I couldn't have helped pick up some major references to the book with the USoE lyrics. I have to say, the song makes a lot more sense now. I would reccomend buying a copy from Amazon for around ?5 to anyone who loves Muse. It's a great read.

The thing is, Uprising is no different. Listening to it, again, the 1984 references are everywhere. I was going to post an analysis, but I have to go out to eat now.

This link is to an interview with the band with Zane Lowe, in which Matt himself mentions 1984. Only short, though.
