Forza Motorsport 3

But didn't they tell earlier that you can upgrade your cars all the way to R class and make your own racing cars.

Maybe the R3 was just the highest level car allowed there, although it would still be silly allow anything else as the whole point of the R classes are the power limits and almost equal performance.

Let's hope it's some dev-mode cheat.

edit. Watched the video again and the Veyron is R3 with 792 PI and the race was R3 800, so that explains it. They have revamped the whole class system, but I fear there is no point driving anything but the Veyron when you get it. Well, if you don't like a challenge anyway. :D

It was so far ahead because of the huge straight. I bet the R3 cars would be faster on a smaller circuit.

Great news! The Dac-...

Based on the waterfall, I think it's safe to assume that Kaido will be re-styled and looks like the "Community at Play" trailer environment. So the most anticipated track has been unveiled for a long time....

ALSO!

Wot's this hmmmm???

Untitled-ytv1.jpg

Kaido seems to be a full loop now (the middle track)! But wot's the one on the right???

If Kaido is a loop now, that means it's at least twice as long as it was before. Anyone remember how long the first one was? 8 miles or something?

FUJIMI KAIDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*falls to floor drolling and twitching*

Fujimi Kaido has been confirmed back for quite some time. . .

Should see more direct-feed from Gametrailers soon.

Nice catch MadCat (if it's your catch that is). This is great news. I'm loving the look of the second Nurburgring ribbon. The twists and turns should be a lot of fun. I'm assuming the Nurburgring ribbons are inside the Nordschliefe and go in/around the towns and villages?

I want Spa...

What's so special about Fujimi Kaido anyway? Track they are bringing back from Forza1?

I'm going to get -repped by some fanboy for this, but...

I didn't like Fujimi Kaido. Not because it wasn't a good track, it was superb. It's because that track just doesn't suit my driving style, I can't get into a good rhythm, no matter how slow a car I'm driving.

It wasn't a track for everyone, I personally liked taking my modified Muscle cars down that track and seeing if I could hold the powerslide through the entire corner without spinning out or smashing into a wall...

It wasn't really an awesome race track, but it was really challenging to drive, especially downhill. It really showcased the physics engine well since your braking zones were way longer going down.

And it also had pretty good scenery so it was good for replays. You can also pretend it's Mount Haruna/Akina and go drifting in an 86. Good times

Did you guys spot this beauty? I know, I'm sad going trough it frame by frame but oh boy, this is exactly what I hoped to see. Some vintage Italian pornography! :D

The trifoglio! ^_^

I'm (and always will be a GT fan. Hence the signature) but I have to admit Turn 10 are doing a great job with Forza 3 and building the hype for it. It is a shame they inculded 2 Catalan tracks and they didn't get the language right tough

Yeah the Murcielago sounds like a Countach or early Diablo...:(

One of my biggest problems with the Forza series was its sort of sterile atmosphere throughout the menus and such. This appears to be such a significant improvement that it has actually superseded Gran Turismo. I love the screensaver thing, so you can really feel like each and every car in your garage is indeed yours; in FM2, they were just cars in a list.

Click a menu, wait......... click another option, wait..........
Oh yes, GT is sooo much better...

I really like the new car selection, and menu's generally. I the earlier games it was always so sluggish and actually a bit of a hassle just to change cars.

This is so much nicer and smoother :)

Really looking forward to this game.

That veyron sounded dreadful.. and doesn't the actual one rev only to ~6k RPM instead of 7k? Almost as if they just stuck a chevy V8 in it so they could show it off..

Really? You know, it's funny. Many others, including myself, say the Veyron has a V8 sound. So, in a way, guess they got that right. And, the red line is 6500rpm. Yes, I see it hitting 7k. I'm willing to bet it will be fixed by the time in hits the market. That's assuming this is a stock version of the car. What if the car shown has been modified? You know, modification, the part that takes up part of ANY race sim. If that IS the stock car, you know what, no one but bitchy fan boys, who try and find anything to complain about, will care,

And here, I have found one video that pretty much shows the sound is dead on.

Lets listen to the driveway from the game one more time...

http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/02/forza-3-welcomes-1000-horsepower-bugatti-veyron-supercar/

Now, watch this vid. Skip to about 0:55. The Veyron over takes the M3 and, OH MY FUCKING GOD, it sound like the giant V8 and sounds just like the driveway sound from the first video.

Once again, your fanboyism and age are showing. You were asked once, nicely, by myself and others, to stop posting in this thread if you were going to continue to bash it for your childish reasons. Now, I'm asking you, AGAIN, if you have nothing of worth to contribute to this thread, stop posting in it.
