That engine sings! It's sending chills down my spine and i just want to hear more from it.
 
If I had to put a guesstimate price on that mk2 I would say about $200,000. 2.4 cosworth motor, sequential box, seam welded, chrome moly cage etc. etc. What a toy.

Looks like they had an awesome day and I reckon Ken would have learnt a thing or two. Also, Atko is fucking BUILT!!! Apparently he has dropped weight but sheesh looks like he was carved out of stone.

Sssoooooo Ken, how about DC Shoes buying a Focus WRC and running Chris next year????

More like 100k$, perhaps not even that much. Simon Mckinley has a similiar escort, and around 70k$ was spent on it. It doesn't have bullshit paddle shifters, etc. but it has a 2.3 warrior head engine with 300hp, which costs a lot of money aswell.. I still maintain that Ken Block is very mediocre for a rally driver, but he sure does publicity stunts well :)

August 2009 issue of Retro Ford has a MK2 escort very similar to this and they say its worth 70,000 pounds if not more.

Well. In any case, it's extremely pointless to spend 100k$ on an NA Mk 2 escort, when you could buy a group-F prepared one and fit a 500hp YB into it for around 20k? total. which would beat the hell out of the car in the video :)
