Ford has just announced they will raise their production from 1200 to 1600 Focus RS (for the German market) because people want them like hot cupcakes served by a nude supermodel. :p

You can order it now and get it in 2010 for just under 35.000?. Which I don't have. Sadly.

I for one welcome more lunatic and vulgar cars on our streets. Take this, eco hippies!

This is a good sign that Ford is Getting It. If someone wants to buy something you're making, make more of them!
 
Excellent. The RS is a real success, I'm seeing an absolute ton of them around, and for a fairly expensive new hot hatch to be flying off forecourts in this economic climate, they must be doing something right.

I know I'd buy one if I had the monies. Great cars.

I really want one as well. But it's an expensive car, at least it is here in Denmark.. Doesn't take much to be an expensive car when you have 180% taxes though.. :b

Of course people are buying them, and the reason is obvious. Real petrolheads don?t stop buying fast cars just because they have less money in their pocket, they just switch to less expensive fast cars...

Can someone lend me 35000?? I promise to pay it back in like 20 years or so. :mrgreen:
 
Today whilst coming from school I saw a white RS like in the picture driven by a 20 year old chav, luckily the car was still stock and hopefully will remain so. Can't say I wasn't jealous :lol:

And on topic: More RS's on the street will make this world a better place :)

They look like great cars, but I still wish Ford would have made them four wheel drive. It is a Rally Sport after all.

I still maintain that I would be at the dealership putting down a deposit right now if the RS was available in the States. I have the money, make it happen Ford.
 
35k? is a LOT of money when you consider it's just a Focus...
then again, a standard Golf GTI is 31k?, has 100 hp less and doesn't look like it was styled then injected with testosterone...

Except that the RS is a million times more awesome than a golf. ;)

BTW They need to bring these to Oz FFS.
