That Delahaye..

I could never justify paying that much for a car. Not even if I was making millions of dollars a year.

If I had enough money drop $3million on a car, I totally would.

$7.26 million for a car????

Also that FXX - how is it for sale, if all of them were kept by Ferrari? If sold, would it be road-legal?

Dont mean to sound stupid but whats special about that McLaren. Ive seen them listed for 1-1.2mil on dupont and other such sites.

Depends on it's history. For all we know it was owned by someone famous and has cachet for that reason. Additionally it could have crazy low miles or something similar like super rare color combo or spec sheet. There are all kinds of reasons for certain cars to be worth more than what appears to be the exact same car to someone that doesn't know the history etc.

^ I'm researching it right now. I'll be right back with info.

EDIT: Here's what I got.

* Two Owners from New
* California Registered, US Delivery Car
* EPA and BAR Certified
* Complete with Tools and Fitted Luggage
* Less than 3,500 Original Miles
* Recently Serviced by the McLaren Authorized Service Center
* A Milestone in Automobile Design

6,064 CC DOHC BMW S70/2 V-12 Engine
Sequential Closed-Loop Fuel Injection
627 BHP at 7,500 RPM
6-Speed Manual Gearbox
4-Wheel Drilled and Vented Brembo Brakes
Independent Double-Wishbone Suspension Front and Rear

EDIT2: I just found this that got me more confused.

Right now, the first production F1 is for sale. Less than 300 miles. And its listed at $3,175,000 USD.

So I don't know what made that one so expensive.

3500 miles dosnt seem to low for a car of that type. Any chance Leno sold his?

Doubtful. Leno loves his F1. If he was in any sort of financial trouble, there's other stuff in his garage that he'd sooner part with.

I could never justify paying that much for a car. Not even if I was making millions of dollars a year.

I second that. I'd buy a 1million$ 15 car garage that somehow looks good on my 1million$ house. Then I'd Fill it with 1million$ of cars :)
