The Funny Maths Thread.. which sometimes contains mildly amusing pictures

If she spends 10 mins cutting 2 pieces it means she spent 5 mins cutting each piece.
No because she didn't cut each piece. She only cut one piece. She only made one cut, once, and it took 10 minutes. She can't cut any faster than that. The implication here is that some how, some way, she could cut the piece of wood in half and only end up with one piece and that somehow she would have magically saved half the time along the way somehow, even tho she still made just one single cut which up to this point has cleary been taking her 10 minutes. And that's not text book logic... that's just crazy talk.

If you want it cut in five minutes why did you give the job to a woman in the first place? Pfft, a woman using a saw to do manual labor.... The whole thing is just a load of nonsense from start to finish.

You're all wrong, if she took 10 minutes to cut a board into two pieces and worked just as fast she would take 10 minutes to cut a board into three pieces.

Normally when you break up a conversation in here with a funny picture it needs to actually be funny to give the point you're making some extra oomph. And it also helps if it's not an old repost from 2004.

I won't bother trying to find the post earlier with that huge bar-bill.. but I just found out the background story.. Iron Maiden had a short trip out in Bergen Norway before a concert: http://www.730.no/blog.aspx?newsId=5703
