By some manner of weirdness we don't have a thread on the new 9-5 SportCombi! Now Saab will finally have a real tool to reach volumes in it's home market, altough the regular 9-5 is already surprisingly common here. But we swedes notably and europeans in general do not understand sedans, so here is a much more practical car you can load easily! And if I am not misstaken US Saab customers also have a great love for the wagon, and why shouldnt they, it's magnificient! I like it alot!

Pcitres!

Specs when it's unveiled at the Geneva Motor thingy, but mostly the same data as the normal 9-5 I presume.

I like it. I'm a fan of sporty estates. The rear looks cool.

They'd better put the tires on the right way before shipping them to the dealers.

Mmm... dat tailgate...

Seriously, though, as a lover of the Saab wagons, this looks to be a real good model. It's one of the largest wagons on the market, if I recall.

Very very good looking car. A classic Saab style but very modern.

I definitely want one.

The only problem is, that even though being one of the largest estates on the market, it's far from the most spacious.

That would be my daily driver :D
It looks nice - big and spacy (from the photos I'm guessing it's size is pretty much similar to Insignia Sports Tourer), but sleek at the same time.

Cargo area is 1962 mm and swallows 1600 liters, so it's not that small. No exact measures on overall length but somewhere along the lines of 5150 mm it's said.

Never said it was "small", because it is quite a big car. It just doesn't stack up to rivals like the V70, E-Class and Audi A6 (and the Superb as well) in luggage compartment measures. At least with the seats un-folded.

9-5 sedans didn't seem to be especially well built (and those were the press cars which are usually revised after they leave the assembly line), hope they have improved that with this new model...

Always been a big SAAB man

I like it

Wagon is hugely important model for Saab, majority of the 9-5 sales are wagons, in some countries over 70% so Saab's sales are somewhat suffering due to fact that it wont be coming before August this year.

Here's some trunk pictures:

Nobody drives the car with max space load every day so it's not that dangerous to have few cm's less than some other car. Rear wheels are hidden so it might effect on volume measures, better always check those on personal, how big or small the space is.

Er...no. GM sold it to Spyker.
