I haven't had much desire to play around in Minecraft lately, above is what happens when my creative urge starts to twitch.
 
If you feel like exploring, I have an infinitely infinite cave.. right by the quarry, warp: superdupercave

Also made a quarry with lots of chests for random bits you can dig up/refine/store/use. Warp: quarry
Please deposit un-needed stuffs from the cave that you don't use/want in the chests, or stick it in the furnace and make something useful.
 
W-O-W! I played this game when it first launched and now I stumbled upon this video... I had no idea it turned into this lol. That's insane!

 
That's.... awesome! A little wasteful with the amount of space each train line takes, but hey.

Suddenly the train station I've built on another server looks bleak in comparison. :p

I was really proud of a three-way switch I wired up for controlling the direction of the track at the station terminals :cry:
 
Galantti and I explored a massive cave, we spent about 2 hours in it and we're still not done. It's on the same island as Finalgearistan, and it looks like it might be the size of the island.

Warp is "access" and "access2". The thing is stupid big.

That's a start of making it a real working station, all it needs is a signal box to control all the lines, a bunch of minecart trains with powered carts and drivers and some spotters to monitor the trains. Trouble is we would have more people running the station than using the trains. :lol:
 
It should go without saying at this point, but don't upgrade to 1.7 until I've updated the server (usually 24 hours or more after the new version comes out), or you won't be able to play.
 
1.7 is out

New features:
Added pistons
Fire or redstone is now required to trigger TNT
Fences can be stacked
Added shears (Recipe)
Shears can be used to pick up leaf blocks
Shears can be used to shear sheep without hurting them
Sheep no longer drop wool from being punched
Removed Herobrine
New cobblestone and brick textures
New bugs:
Do not try to recreate these bugs, they can permanently ruin your world.
It is however possible to recover the world by using MCEdit to remove the pistons.
Rightclicking sheep with an empty hand crashes the game
Game crashes when piston pushes water/lava/torch/redstone wire/snow/leaves/grass/jack-o-lanterns/pumpkins/mushrooms/reeds
Placing a Redstone Torch near a piston sometimes causes the game to crash.

Fuck it, I updated. Awesome new world included.
1.7_01 is out, so pistons are safe to use.
 
I took the whole evening yesterday to enjoy the update, been waiting for pistons a while. You'd think I'd actually build one, but noooooo. Spelunking, exploring, surviving till 2am.
 
I was just experimenting to see if I could make a 2 stage mechanical 'door' that first pulled the door blocks in and then retracted then down. However sticky pistons lose their stickiness if moved by another sticky piston, so although the blocks were pulled in they were left in mid air when the attached pistons were pulled down by the pistons below. I am disappoint.
