1939 Pontiac Plexiglas Deluxe Six "Ghost Car"

Well, you can't drive that naked.

Been around a long time and it still looks pretty good to me.

Well, its only got 86 miles on the clock, and apparently one of the owners did have the car partially restored by the company that did the original Plexiglass body work. So, yeah, pretty much been well taken care of.

Edit: the body is solid panels of Plexiglass (TM) by Rohm and Haas Company, not laminated safety glass. In otherwords, huge chuncks of Poly(methyl methacrylate). Laminated glass uses plexiglass, but has layers to help reduce scratching or pitting or to strengthen the glass or plexiglass. Safety glass delaminates because its actually individual peices of layered (plexi)glass.

The main concern for this car is the fact that Plexiglass scratches easily, and is also brittle.

It's a museum piece, not a driver though.

That's nuts.

Well, you can...you just might get arrested for it unless you're in a nudist colony or something.

Just claim you're an artist and invoke some nonsense about the first amendment. You'll be fine. Or fined. One or the other.

i'd take it over a woody anyday :D

That is not what she said. ;)
