New skin (attempt)

Mischief007 - make sure you shift the numbers on the side a bit to the rear.
Because you have a 3 digit number, you need to shift it a bit to the rear of the car so that your 1st digit is not split over the front fender panel and the door.

One more render

And I really gotta come race with you guys more even though I suck to the max. :(

It's weird. I'm just fine, probably even considered pretty good, at any other racing game. I just have so much trouble with LFS. I think I'm just too agressive. :(

LFS is tough compared to arcade games, you can't go full throttle in the corner. And it's gonna get even harder once the new patch is released (roumoured to be this month afaik).

You just need to watch a few replays and do a few clean laps, than you'll get used to it. ;)

FF you held one drift nicely on April 1 ;).

I know Pete, like I said, work in progress ;). Spent too much time on it yesterday....

That's right, you got your wheel for the April 8th race...

LOOOOOOOOOL

I have such a huge mistake on the skin! Why didn't anyone tell me that the right side of the car says FINAGEAR and misses the L.

edit: ^ you only noticed because I told you on msn. :p

^ almost at the exact same time

I have no idea what to replace the white paint with, I'd like a mix of fire colours but am so lost as to how to get it done :(.

It wouldn't be hard to do, but it would be hell of a work to do it the way you want it. You would have to allign front wheel panels (x2) with the bonnet, also bonnet + front wheel panels with front bumper, rear wheel pannels (x2) with the "trunk" part as well as the rear itself. Very time consuming job, + you actually might not get it right, due to the fact that the skin is streched when its mapped onto the car by LFS.

If I were you, I'd think about something else, like a single color. It would also look better imo. Your car has already flames, wouldn't make much sense to make the basic pain look like flames as well. :)

Go for some sort of orange, or leave it white as it is, looks nice with that as well imho. You could also go for light blue, and make "gulf" racing color theme with the blue&flames, sort of. :)

Thanks for the suggestions pdanev. Unfortunately I kept working on the skin and didn't visit the forum :p.

Here's the final result:

Final: I'm staying with the white. Gives it a nice balance.

Heres the blue that I will be using. Merette, IIRC you are going to use a powder blue?
