Well, his breath does smell like magnesium....but he almost is elegible for a buspass.DILLIGAF said:I think Damon Hill is the Stig

n a determined effort to uncover the face behind the mirrored visor, the Sunday Times photographer and I make a dash for base, only to arrive just at the moment the Stig, helmet already firmly in place, is sliding into the driver?s seat of a Vauxhall Astra police car. We follow, in hot pursuit, back to the trackside to find the Stig chatting to Clarkson, visor up. I can just make out white skin, straight brown hair, and are those blueish eyes? But then Clarkson spots our plot and snaps the visor shut. Foiled again.
From then on the Stig (Stig was the name Clarkson and Wilman gave to any new boy who arrived at school) remains silent for fear of giving away his identity. ?He?s not a very talkative chap,? goads Clarkson. Most of the crew don?t appear to know who he is. One camera assistant tells me that last time she was on set he ate his lunch in the back of an ambulance ?so no one would see him?.
The Daily Express claimed earlier this year that it had identified the Stig as Julian Bailey, 44, a former Formula One racing driver, but the Stig I saw looked younger. A snoop around the Stig?s dressing room yields few clues, although I can confirm that he wears size 10 racing shoes and appears to enjoy a game of Scalextric.

allyou need is the places anddates that things happned and you can request the records of anything not classified from american government departments.
or somyunderstanding of the law goes.
if people can find the dates that top gear arrived / left the states, stig got arrested, requests to the police to close roads or supervise high speed road tests or whatever you could very likely find names. Cross reference these withyour educated guesses on who he isand failing that FIA or some other racing body.
personally I think the stig is a collage of poeple, just as they use specialised drivers for the f1 cars who is to say that all the loan cars dontcome with test drivers. Many times test drivers are provided for demo's, with top gearbeing such a large important PR machine why wouldnt any large company send a driver to dress up in white and go nuts in he car they are familiar with. They have no other conficting interests other than to go as fast as they can, they are going to be fairly adjusted to the car and so forth.
it's easy to say that you couldnt keep that many people quiet BUT these are are test drivers who regularly keep trade secrets about the cars they drive secret for years, a simple non disclosure agreement could keep tier mouths shut. Even if a couple of themdid saqy they were the stig, who would believe them? they werent thgere when xyz car was there anyway...
even if it werent one driver for one car and there were just a couple of drivers it would fit in with what reports are known about "the new stig" in that there are varying reports on age wieght and apperance. there is absolutely nothing to suggest that it is a single person except the way he is spoken about on the show, where the obviously overwieght f1 driver was reffered to as the stig without any qualm.
atill unvieling the, or one of the idenities of the stig throughpolice records is a good start. Asmuch as I like what clarkson and top gear do I refuse to believe that those few people can outsmart the hundreds ofpeople here obsessed with the question.
anyone here gotmore experience with FI requests? if not I might do somereaserch so anyone who can provide more accurate dates and times would be helping alot. IKfnot I might have to put on my social engineering hat and make somecalls to england, hmmm american police officer with a follow up call or australian documentory journalist looking for an interview with the man who has a gripe with america almost as big as mine.....decisions decisions...
